the experiment for me is about being a member of blueglass situated outside of the usa. it took the form of an invitation to the community to answer 3 questions with my intention to form the responses into something i could share back to the community.
the invitation can be found at https://www.andrewmartynsugars.me/project/blue-glass-farm/
to arrive at an outcome, we firstly went through a linear edit of the contributed content. over time through sharing and conversation, the content moved to the non linear authoring environment, arriving at what you are about to watch.
the non linear format takes the viewer from passive observer to engaged participant in the viewing experience. this begins with an invitation to click anywhere on the screen to continue.
the film/documentary is arranged as a series of small narrative units (snu). the snu’s are linked by the viewer’s action of clicking the one of the text prompts that appear as the film/documentary develops. at the end of the film/documentary it is possible to refresh the browser and view the project again with the potential of a different viewing experience.
it is recommended to watch the film/documentary on the largest computer screen you have access to and if possible use headphones to listen to the audio.
the film/documentary can be viewed at https://timeplacespace.net/attq/
in the bottom left corner of the film/documentary is a small square, clicking on this will take the film/documentary fullscreen.
while watching the film/documentary, the space bar can be used to pause and restart the snu playback.
